Return to Innocence
I usually think for longer period of time about painting before I actually paint it. Sometimes this process takes a few years. With this painting it’s not the case. I already experimented with similar scenery when I painted 4 Aspects of Vranduk, Golden Brown, Mist and Cherry Blossom, and this time I just wanted to concentrate on cherry blossom. I wanted to capture a feeling of the young boy or girl, up in the tree, caught in passing spring shower, suddenly surrounded by this explosion of freshness and colors caused by the burst of sunshine. In the process I have thought of a new painting or a series of paintings, simply based on cherry blossom and simple feeling of happiness from my childhood memories.
This series will be more of the heart then of the mind.
