Mitsuhisa ISHIKAWA / Japanese Culture Week 2012 Sarajevo

I was invited by Faruk Lončarević, a professor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, and Reginald Šimek, a student at the Academy of Performing Arts, to moderate a meeting between students of the Academy of Performing Arts and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, a founder and CEO of Production IG, one of the most famous anime production company in the world.

I was excited as hell; we hardly have a chance to watch anime at cinemas or have guests from anime world in our country. To me, an anime otaku– this was as meeting Pope for a Christian. Of course, his visit to Sarajevo was utterly ignored by media and local production houses. As a part of his 3- day visit to Sarajevo, he did 3 meetings, 1 with the students of the Fine Arts Academy, 1 with the students of the Academy of Performing Arts and one general meeting at Meeting Point Sarajevo. He also did screening of Ghost in the Shell Innocence at Meeting Point cinema.
